Peace Education in Schools – Avvai Home Girl’s Hr. Sec. School (VI Std)

Gandhian Way to Peace project held at Avvai Home T.V.R. Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Adyar, Chennai-18.

On September 5, 2024, we conducted a session for 36 students of class VI.

The session began with an introduction to the Gandhi Peace Foundation (GPF) by Ms.Indhumathi, who emphasized the importance of peace in children’s lives today and introduced 6 basic rules from Gandhian way to peace book.

Following this, Ms. Sridevi engaged the students with a storytelling session that they eagerly participated in she concluded with song related to the story.

Finally, Mr. S.Kulandaisamy shared a story to the students about their daily routines and how micro-actions can contribute to macro peace, sharing an inspiring story to illustrate his points.
