This session was a continuation of the three-day camp held on December 2024 19th,20th,and 21st.
The session began with a brief introduction to the lifestyles of Mahatma Gandhi and VinobaBhave. Students recalled their experiences from the previous camp and shared personal reflections on how it impacted them.
They were divided into groups and assigned different topics, for which they had to create and perform a skit. They Performed 15 Skits, each skit for 4 to 5 mnts. The session concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, presided over by Institution Head Mr.S.Muneeswaran and Principal Mrs. Suganya.

Location: Manithottam Campus Participants: 116 students from 6th standard, Manithottam school Resource Persons: Mr. S. Kulandaisamy & Ms.Indhumathi Timings: 10:30 AM – 12:45 PM
The session began with a brief introduction to the lifestyles of Mahatma Gandhi and Vinoba Bhave, highlighting their values and contributions.
Six rules for peace were discussed, emphasizing practical ways to apply them in daily life.
This was followed by an interactive dialogue, where students actively participated and shared their personal experiences.
A discussion on the importance of drawing helped students understand how it fosters a free mind and improves concentration. They were also engaged in a drawing activity.
“The Story of Pingu” was narrated, illustrating the values of togetherness, Swadeshi, peace, manual labour, and the significance of natural ingredients.
Throughout the session, students actively interacted and were engaged in meaningful discussions.
29.01.2025 – Wednesday- Forenoon

The session began with an introduction to Vinoba Bhave, focusing on his Bhoodan Movement and its impact on land reform and social justice.
Students explored the question, “Who is Mahatma Gandhi?”, discussing his life, contributions, and the circumstances of his assassination. They were engaged in an interactive discussion, sharing various perspectives.
The six rules for peace were introduced, with practical examples on how to implement them in daily life. This was followed by an interactive dialogue, where students actively participated and narrated their personal experiences.
“The Joyful Forest” story was narrated, encouraging students to observe their surroundings and appreciate the environment they live and travel through.
The story also emphasized transforming daily routines into meaningful and useful activities.
Impact:
Students shared their thoughts on how they can help others through their daily routines, fostering a sense of responsibility and service.
29.01.2025 – Wednesday -Afternoon

6 rules for peace and how to practise them in day to day life followed by interactive dialogue in which all the students actively participated and narrated their experiences.
Impact:
After the session, students requested for another session next day for learning more things on the same subject and on Gandhian thoughts.
30.01.2025 – Thursday – Forenoon

Location: Kattukollai Campus Participants: 52 students from 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th std. Kattukollai school Resource Persons: Mr. S. Kulandaisamy & Ms.Indhumathi Timings: 10:15 AM – 12:30 PM
The session began with an introduction by Mr.S.Muneeswaran, Head of the Institution, where he spoke about the Gandhi Peace Foundation’s past connection with the School project in particular with the village.
The day’s session was centred on Mahatma Gandhi’s Martyr’s Day, marking his sacrifice and principles.
Many students actively participated in discussions on Gandhiji’s lifestyle, sharing their thoughts on how India achieved independence through Ahimsa (non-violence).
The six rules for peace were introduced, along with practical ways to incorporate them into daily life.
This was followed by an interactive dialogue, where students narrated their personal experiences and reflections.
A story titled “Histerian” was narrated, about a boy named Histerian who explored the true meaning of history.
The story encouraged students to think about why Mahatma Gandhi is remembered in history and what made him different as a Maker of history.
It inspired them to reflect on how they, too, can create history through their selfless actions.
The session was highly engaging, with active student participation and deep reflections on Gandhiji’s values and their relevance today.
30.01.2025 – Thursday – Afternoon

The session began with a revision of the six rules for peace, reinforcing their significance in daily life.
Storytelling & Discussion:
The story “Rasigan“ was narrated, highlighting the true heroes in our lives.
The story revolved around manual scavengers, where actors in a movie pretended to work, while in reality, a fan of the actor—whose father was a real scavenger—did the actual job of cleaning waste from ditches.
Santhan, a key character in the story, helped students realize that parents are the true heroes in everyone’s life, as they work hard and make sacrifices for their children.
Student Engagement:
Students actively participated in the discussion, sharing their real-life experiences and insights on how they face reality in their daily routines.
The session encouraged students to reflect on the value of hard work, dignity of labour, and the role of unsung heroes in society.
31.01.2025 – Friday- Forenoon

Location: Chinnamakulam Campus Participants: 93 students from 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th std. Chinnamakulam school Resource Person: Mr. S. Kulandaisamy Timings: 10:15 AM – 04:00 PM ( 12.40 to 1.10pm: Lunch)
The session began with an introduction to Vinoba Bhave, focusing on his Bhoodan Movement and its impact on land reform and social justice. The session covered key aspects of peace, leadership, and social transformation through the lives and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and Acharya Vinoba Bhave.
The students were given understanding of the developments of the school in the remote villages enabling to learn high skills in spite of the limitations of the villages combined with values inculcated by Mahatma Gandhi & Acharya Vinoba Bhave. Here the great contribution of the dedication and untiring labour contributed by Mr.S.Muneeswaran for more than four decades.
